Since the 1980’s, the Minnesingers have offered Island music students a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to travel to Europe for a concert tour. Travel is such a valuable educational experience, and we love bringing a bit of the island to far away places.
To make this attainable for all students, the Minnesinger Parent Group raises 50% of the trip cost. The Minnesingers are preparing for their bi-annual spring European concert tour – this time, Austria, Germany and France are on the itinerary!
In addition to funds raised for the bi-annual trip they are put towards scholarships for graduating seniors, production costs for concerts and for travel expenses for music competitions.
We appreciate the efforts of this community to help make all of these things happen year after year.
